Welcome to the Montana Grain Growers Association website!

The Montana Grain Growers Association is an organization of Montana grain producers who, by combining their strengths, voices, and ideas, are working to insure a better future for themselves, their industry and the consumer.

In Montana, the embryo of "self-help" market development began in the mid-1950's with the organization of the Montana Grain Growers Association. A consolidation of three "crop improvement" groups (Southeast, Northeast and "Triangle" area grain producers), MGGA was to emerge as the rallying point for those Montana wheat farmers too impatient to sit and wait for "someone else to do it."

The Montana Grain Growers Association is a commodity organization representing the interests of wheat and barley growers. We use the contacts and experience gained over the past 40 years to affect the laws, regulations and rules that we farm by. We, with the National Association of Wheat Growers and the National Barley Growers Association, have become the most influential commodity organization in our state and country. We use that influence to make things happen.
